Weekly Update

Activities of the last week:

  • Continued rough interior / electrical – Bragg / Dickerson / Black River Middle School
  • Continued interior wall framing (Science wing, vocal, computer lab and media center) – Black River Middle School
  • Completed footings and foundations for new addition – Black River Middle School
  • Continued exterior plumbing (new addition – sewer & roof drainage) – Black River Middle School
  • Commenced interior plumbing (interior modifications for Nurse office – Dickerson and Faculty lounge – Bragg)
  • Commenced exterior pluming(exterior sewer relocation – Bragg / Dickerson)

Scheduled Activities for the week of July 31– August 31, 2006

Overall Project:

  • Commence installation of HVAC ductwork (Media and vocal) – Black River Middle School
  • Commence exterior site work (drainage field, addition area and road / parking layout) – Bragg / Dickerson
  • Commence interior masonry wall installation and patching – Black River / Dickerson / Bragg
  • Continue interior plumbing (renovation area’s) / exterior (sewer line relocation) – Bragg / Dickerson
  • Continue interior plumbing (science room) and exterior (new addition) – Black River
  • Continue interior wall framing ( renovation area’s)– Black River Middle School
  • Continue interior / exterior electrical – Black River / Bragg / Dickerson
  • Commence foundation waterproofing – Black River Middle School

 

Impact to Students & Staff:

Noise:

  • Truck traffic and large machinery on site loading and unloading

Traffic and Parking:

    • Construction contractor parking is designated to the front & rear parking, not near pool parking ( Black River).
    • Bragg and Dickerson parking lots are closed for public use, due to extensive site construction

Cleanup:

  • Contractors were told to pick up any debris in the area.
  • Roadways will have to be kept clean in front of school and nearby roads.
