Algebraic Concepts

Number Sense: Manipulatives
The learner will be able to use manipulatives to demonstrate the following algebraic concepts: sets, elements of sets (a different shaped or colored manipulative can be used to represent a set of manipulatives), equal sets, variables representing unequal values (specific manipulatives can be used to equal five of another kind of manipulative), and the symbolic nature of algebra.
