  1. Discussion of Gifted and Talented. The district complies with the state requirements. This year we will review the Gifted and Talented and the Language Arts programs.  The staff and parents will help set goals and be part of the process of comprehensive program development.
  2. Placement of 8th graders.  A question came to the board regarding the articulation between 8th grade and the high school.  Mr. Roth has asked Mr. Mullen to check into this.
  3. School supplies and sending lists home. Parents would like lists sent home with the letter informing them of their child's teacher(s).   The district is required to supply textbooks and “other school supplies.” Whether or not the teachers can send out a suggested list is being explored.
  4. Policy The policy 5119 was reviewed. This is to meet the No Child Left Behind legislation.  It does not pertain to us in most ways but is something we are required to include in policy.
