Curriculum Committee
Present:
Erica Taterka, Rob Agree, Michael Roth
· Inclusion: The board needs to have a policy regarding inclusion and the placement of specials needs students. Mr. Roth will come up with a draft.
· As a result of testing results, an additional section of EL math will be formed for the third grade.
· Discussion continued regarding articulation between middle school and high school.
· Discussion continued regarding the use of personal electronic devices in school. It seems we need a policy regarding acceptable use that can be annually addressed by the administrators as technology advances.
· The administration is looking into having defibrillators for the schools. Mr. Sciarillo has been contacted to share legal considerations.
· Policy: Technology; Suspension and Expulsion; and Assessment of Individual Needs will be discussed at the next curriculum committee meetings.
