April 20, 2010: School Board Election and Budget Vote. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Black River Middle School Gym.

What happens if the budget is defeated?  It is sent to the Borough and Township Councils for review.  They determine, in consultation with the Board, an amount to be cut and recommend line item reductions or increases in budgeted revenues.  The detailed defeated budget procedures can be found at http://www.nj.gov/education/finance/fp/dwb/defeated/packet.pdf.
