My book recommendation is Quinny and Hopper by Adriana Brad Schanen. The book is about friendship and is very funny. The main characters in the book are two third grade friends named Quinny and Hopper. Quinny moves to Hopper's street from another town and they become best friends. This book is also about Hopper getting his tonsils removed. I like that they always have crazy reactions to the problems they solve. The interesting thing that the author did is that she made each chapter from Quinny's or Hopper's point of view. Next time when you go to the library you should get this book.

Do you know what Harry Potter is? Harry Potter is the best thing ever! In this essay you will learn about kids in Harry Potter, Teachers in Harry Potter and important events in Harry Potter. Keep on reading to become an expert on Harry Potter!

Now you will learn about kids in Harry Potter. The first one is Ron Weasley. He is Harry’s best friend. Ron usually does everything with Harry. Ron is also very scared of spiders. Ron has a big family. He has 5 brothers and 1 sister. The next one is Hermione Granger. She is also Harry’s best friend at Hogwarts. She is very smart and perfect. Some people even call her little miss perfect. She is also one of few kids at Hogwarts that has non-magical parents. The last one is Draco Malfoy. He is a really mean kid who doesn’t like Harry at all. Draco’s father works for one of the most powerful dark wizard in the wizarding world. Now you know about 3 important kids in Harry Potter!

Now you will learn about teachers at Hogwarts. The first one is Professor Snape. He is the head teacher of Slytherin House. He often tries to favor Draco Malfoy. But little does Harry know that Snape works for Lord Voldemort, the darkest wizard in the wizarding world. The next one is Professor McGonagall. She is head teacher of Gryffindor House. She often tries to help Harry with anything he needs. She especially tries to help him stand up to Snape. The last one is Professor Dumbledore. Dumbledore is headmaster at Hogwarts. Harry and Dumbledore sometimes work together to spoil Voldemort’s plans. Voldemort is actually scared of Dumbledore. Now you know about some teachers at Hogwarts!

Have you always thought that the good guys always win? Well now we will talk about important events in Harry Potter. The first one is the death of Voldemort. Harry and his friends worked very hard to try to kill Voldemort. But finally one day they killed him. Voldemort put his heart and soul into 7 items called horcruxes. The next one is Harry’s son’s first trip to Hogwarts. His name is Albus Severus Potter. He like Harry wanted to become a Gryffindor. At first when he saw the train he didn’t want to get on. But Harry told him to be brave and face his fears. The next one is when Harry’s parents died. Voldemort killed Harry’s parents when he was a baby. That meant that Harry had to live with his mean aunt, uncle and cousin. Harry had to even live in the cupboard under the stairs. They didn’t treat him right at all. I think Harry would make a great dad!

I change you’re mind about your favorite thing? I think Harry Potter is the best thing ever. Do you? Now you know more about Harry Potter kids, teachers and important events. I think you should watch all 7 movies and read all 8 books!

Have you ever had to hang out with someone who doesn't make any sense?  Have you ever had a secret that you did not want other people to know? Have your parents ever made you do something that you did not want to do? If so, then you would understand how Gregory feels in the book Roderick Rules. I recommend this book to anyone who likes the series Diary of a Wimpy Kid and anybody who likes to read stories that deal with life in middle school.

The book that I am recommending is

Mr. Peabody’s Apples. The book is realistic-fiction. The problem of the story is that a boy named Tommy thinks he see  Mr.Peabody stealing something

and tells all of his friends about it. A little while later Mr.Peabody finds out about the rumor that was going around and made Tommy make up for what he did.

    • December 20, 2016 -- K's Book Recommendation

    • December 19, 2016 -- T's Book Recommendation

I recommend that you read the book Dr. Nicholas is Ridiculous. It is a very funny story because a college teacher, Dr. Nicholas, teaches kids about the history of toilets and Barbies! Of course Andrea Young, an annoying girl with curly brown hair, and her cry baby friend Emily say that Dr. Nicholas is immature. But A.J. thinks she is awesome until she teaches them about Barbies. Then she decides to team up with some other teachers and build what she calls a Time Boat.  At the end, Mr. Klutz the principal finds out that Dr. Nicholas is doing crazy stuff so he has to fire her!

The book I am recommending is Dory Fantasmagory by Abby Hanlon.

Dory is the main character who is very funny and has a great imagination.  She is the youngest in the family and is always trying to get attention from her brother and sister. They ignore her because they think she is a baby.  Dory has an imaginary friend named Mary that always plays with her.  Mary and Dory are best friends.

I think you will like this book because it is funny and Dory is always up to something with Mary.  I think you will like all the monsters that live in Dory’s house.  It is funny how she tries to get away from them.  I hope you read this book and like it as much as I did.

    • November 30,2016 -- V's Book Recommendation

My book recommendation is The BFG by Roald Dahl. In this book Sophie, the main character, woke up during the night and saw the BFG (Big Friendly Giant) on the street. When the BFG grabbed Sophie and brought her all the way to his cave she realized that he was not harmful. The BFG explained to Sophie that all the other giants eat humans but not him. He eats snozzcumbers which look like cucumbers but taste horrible. He also drinks frobscottle which is a bubbly drink and when you shake it instead of the bubbles shooting up to the top they shoot down to the bottom. Sophie and the BFG decide to come up with a plan to stop the human eating giants once and for all. What they end up doing will have you on the edge of your seat!

    • November 18, 2016 -- S's Book Recommendation

My recommendation is “THE GIRL WHO COULD FLY”. There is a girl who can fly and her name is Piper. There is also another character that seems nice at first, but once you get near the end of the book, you’ll find out that she’s the opposite of the word “Awesome” or “Kind” or “Helping”. She might seem like that, but she really is not! Her name is Dr. Hellion. Once you finish the book, ( Like me ) you’ll totally think that you love this writer! Also you’ll think that she used marvelous details. The author of this book is “Victoria Forester”. I love that name. Anyway, when you get this book, you won’t regret it. It is, as grownups would say, “Splendid, amazing, marvelous, delightful, unusually superb” or something like that. Overall, it IS something to think about. Once you even see the title, you must be thinking about how fantastic it might be. Well it is fantastic! So get off of your ipads, go to the library, and get this AWESOME BOOK!

    • November 1, 2016 -- D's Book Recommendation

I think that Harry Potter is a good book ( series ) because it’s exciting because it’s about a different world and it makes you use your imagination.

I also think that Prince Ivan and the Firebird is a good book because it teaches young children a very good lesson for life. And because my dad's name is Ivan!!!

( The lesson is: don’t try to cheat your way out of the problem.)( You have.)

    • October 28, 2016 -- A's Book Recommendation
I would like to recommend Mr. Granite is from Another Planet and Miss Laney is Zany.

In Mr.Granite is from another planet they (Andrea, A.J, Ryan, Michael, Emily and Neil) get a weird teacher. They think Mr.Granite is from another planet are they right? Flying potatoes!

In Miss Laney is Zany THEY ARE CLOSING THE SCHOOL DOWN! "This can't be happening." Now Mr.Granite does not have a desk, oh no. A.J has to go to the girls bathroom ew! with other classmates. Now that's what you call weird.
