Hello! My name is Mrs. Simmons and I am a second grade teacher at Dickerson. I am a certified Elementary and Early Childhood teacher with a Master's degree in Special Education. I have been teaching at Dickerson for eleven years. This is my tenth year teaching Second Grade at Dickerson, and I am so excited to be teaching you! I taught Preschool/Pre-K at Dickerson for 2 years prior to moving up to second grade. Prior to teaching here, I taught second grade and fourth grade. It's hard to believe this will be my 18th year teaching!
I live in Madison, NJ with my husband, our 12 1/2 year old son, Tyler and our 3 year old fur baby, Toby. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy going hiking, biking and playing sports outdoors, especially soccer, swimming, basketball, and golfing. We spend our summer down Long Beach Island enjoying days on the beach, miniature golf, arcade games, rides, movie nights, beach concerts and way too much ice cream. I also love to read and run in my free time.
