    SUMMER IS A GOOD TIME TO CREATE

    Socially Powerful Kids!

    LIFE COACHING FOR KIDS – FOR BOTH AT HOME AND AT SCHOOL

    DOES YOUR CHILD STRUGGLE WITH THINGS LIKE:

    -       problem solving,

    -       the art of conversation,

    -       the value of cooperation,

    -       conflict resolution,

    -       the ability to communicate needs,

    -       a sense of mastery and self-confidence,

    -       demonstrating self-control,

    HERE IS HOW WE CAN HELP!

    Child Play Therapy with a Family Connection can build a Socially Powerful Kid through a weekly group “play date” designed to coach kids to have positive social interactions with their peers. 

    Here is what our program looks like:

    Week 1: Getting to Know You!

    GOAL: Build trust, responding when greeted, following routines directions and rules.

     

    Week 2: Learning About Feelings

    GOAL: Giving compliments, what we like about each group member, connections between feelings, facial and body language, increasing feelings, feelings vocabulary, understanding own feelings and feelings of others

     

    Week 3: Team Work

    GOAL: Making eye contact, participate in group activities, understanding personal space, team work, following directions

     

    Week 4: Time to Share

    GOAL: Joining friends, sharing and taking turns, taking responsibility for choices and actions, expressing needs appropriately

     

    Week 5: Anger Management

    GOAL: How to express anger appropriately, increase self-esteem, learn relaxation techniques, how to deal with accidents, controlling impulses and anger

     

    Week 6: Graduation!

    GOAL: Review what was learned, positive closing experience, and honor group progress
