Payment and Fees 

Information Regarding Protection Plan of BRMS Chromebooks

All 6th grade students can opt into a nonrefundable maintenance fee of $100 which covers all 3 years at BRMS. Students who opted in to the protection plan in 6th grade will keep their devices after graduation. All 8th grade students can opt into a nonrefundable maintenance fee of $40 per student per year, which is part of the old Protection Plan fee structure. ($40 fee must've been paid in 6th and 7th grade in order for 8th grade students to keep their devices after graduation)  The annual fee will cover accidental damages.  It is important the devices be handled with care and responsibility.  In an effort to prevent accidental damages the school district will provide a protective case for all chromebooks.  Students are required to keep the cases on the chromebooks at all times.  If the device is willfully damage beyond repair or value, lost, missing, stolen, or cannot be returned to the district , the parent or guardian will be charged the full price of the repair or replacement device.  Power adapters that are accidentally lost or damaged will not be replaced.  Additional or replacement power adapters can be purchased through the district’s Technology Department.  After graduation students will keep their chromebook devices.  In order to be eligible to keep the device a student will need to go to Chester School District and pay the associated fees in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade for current 8th grade students.  In order for current 6th and 7th grade students to be eligible to keep the device a student will need to go to Chester School District and pay the associated fee in 6th grade. For instance, if a student starts at BRMS in 7th grade or if a student leaves the district for 6th grade but comes back for 8th grade, they would need to pay any missed fees to be eligible to keep their device after graduation.  Payments must be made through Mealtime at https://www.mymealtime.com.  If you need a Mealtime account please reference the sign up instructions by clicking Here.

What is Cover / Not Covered

Accidental drops, liquid damage, broken keyboards, or any damage unintentional will be covered under this fee.  These repairs can be used once per calendar year.  Additional instances of repairs will not be covered and the parent or guardian will be charged the full repair price.
