Welcome to Black River Middle School

We’re proud of our redesignation as a School to Watch from the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform (www.middlegradesforum.org), one of five such schools in the state.  In addition, we were recently named a Reward School by the New Jersey Department of Education and certified as a Future Ready School.

Thanks to the support of the PTO, the Educational Foundation, and the entire community, we have an exceptional school.  Our students are fortunate to partner with a strong faculty that challenges and nurtures them to develop as life-long learners and as responsible citizens.  In addition, we're privileged to have Dr. VanWoert and a committed school board to guide us.
