    Mr. Brad Currie is the Director of Planning, Research, and Evaluation for the Chester School District. Previously, Mr. Currie served as the Vice Principal and Supervisor of Instruction from 2012-2017 at Black River Middle School. He is passionate about Personal Learning Networks (PLNs), Educational Technology and Social Media in the school setting. Mr. Currie began his career as a Middle School Social Studies and Computer Education Teacher for the Hanover Township School District in Whippany, New Jersey. He then transitioned to the field of administration in 2009 as a Middle School Vice Principal/Athletic Director for the Readington Township School District in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Mr Currie was named the 2017 NASSP National Assistant Principal of the Year and the 2017 NJPSA New Jersey Assistant Principal of The Year. He is also a 2014 ASCD Emerging Leader and Google Certified Trainer. 

    Mr. Currie is the co-founder and co-moderator of a weekly Twitter discussion for current and emerging school leaders called #Satchat. The online discussion takes place every Saturday morning on Twitter at 8:0 AM EST/PST. Mr. Currie is an avid blogger and truly enjoys presenting to audiences about best practices in the school setting. Mr. Currie is the author of five books, including Tech Request: A Guide for Coaching Educators in the Digital World, All Hands on Deck: Tools for Connecting Educators, Parents, and Communities, Personalized PD: Flipping Your Professional Development, 140 Twitter Tips for Educators: Get Connected, Grow Your Professional Learning Network, and Reinvigorate Your Career and Hacking Google for Education: 99 Ways to Leverage Google Tools at the Classrooms, Schools, and Districts.

    Mr. Currie is married to his wife Leigh, a special education teacher for a K-12 school district in New Jersey. He has two children; Cooper, 17; and Sydney, 12. Mr. Currie was inspired to be an educator by the wonderful teachers and coaches he had as a student in high school. He is truly appreciative of all the inspirational people in his life from near and far. Mr. Currie likes to golf, play pickleball and root for the Philadelphia Eagles. Mr. Currie serves as an adjunct professor at Rider University and is a Google Certified Trainer and Google Champion.
