Welcome to Second Grade!

Dear Second Grader,

    I hope that you had a terrific summer!  I also hope you are excited about beginning Second Grade.  We'll have so much fun and learn many wonderful things together.  I can't wait to begin!

     On THURSDAY, August 31, anytime between 2:30-3:30 you are invited to come and see your classroom, Room 103, and meet me! Our classroom is the first room on the right after the Art Room. If you can't come that day, I look forward to meeting you on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 5.

     To the left you will see my Second Grade Supply List. This list may be a little different than the general list on the main district website. I prefer that you bring your supplies with you on Open House Day, but you can bring them on the first day of school if you like. Please note that I ask that some materials be removed from the packaging before bringing them to school. 

     On the first day of school, Sept. 5, there will be teachers and helpers waiting for you when you get off the bus or if you are dropped off.  If you need help finding our classroom, they can assist you. I'll be at the classroom door, waiting for you.

     Inside your backpack on the first day of school, you will have any remaining school supplies, your lunchbox (if you are bringing lunch), and your healthy snack in a reuseable bag SEPARATE from your lunch.  Every day we'll have a quick, nut free snack time (10 min.) in the morning.   

     Wear a smile on your face the first day of school!  I will have a smile on my face when I see you!
