    The Chester School District - Student Services (CANDO Parent Group) -  is sponsoring a presentation about how to navigate the Google Classroom.

    The presenters are two of our teachers from Black River Middle School.  This is open to all parents.

    Lions Club Halloween  Parade

    👻🎃The Chester Lions are at it again! Join us for our 3rd Annual Chester Children's Halloween Parade. All🧟‍♀️ ghouls and goblins🧛‍♂️ ages 10 and under are invited to dress their best and strut their stuff around the pond at Chubb Park on October 19th at 11am. After the parade, everyone will head over to the pavilion and enjoy light refreshments and even grab a goodie bag (while supplies last). Trophies will be awarded for scariest, funniest, and more. We can't wait to see you there!

    Hello Chester Bragg Families,

    As part of the Chester basketball family, we wanted to let everyone know that registration for Winter basketball is now open at chesterbasketball.comThis is a wonderful opportunity to get your son or daughter involved in a great program and activity for the winter season.  We encourage you to register today! Program information is as follows:

     

    Chester Boys & Girls Transition Basketball (Grades 3-4)

    The TRANSITION Program is designed to build on the skills learned at the clinic level while also participating in weekly intramural games to introduce the dynamics of competition and game rules.

    • Boys and Girls in 3rd and 4th grades (grades will be combined for teams) 

    • One weekday training session and games on Saturdays (Specific times TBD)

    • Registration will be open through mid-November

    • Early December start date

    • Parent coaches are utilized for these grades, and we highly recommend participating if you can. Please denote interest upon registration. 

    Chester Boys Recreational Basketball (Grades 5-8)

    The RECREATION program offers a competitive setting with weekly games and league standings.  Instructional emphasis on team play and game rules while driving competition and fun with their peers.

    • One weekday practice and games on Saturdays (specific times TBD)

    • Registration will be open through mid-November

    • Early December start date

    • High School coaches will be utilized for these grades and create a fun yet competitive atmosphere.

    Chester Boys Travel Basketball (Grades 4-8)

    The TRAVEL basketball program is a TRYOUT oriented level for players with more advanced skills.  The program includes participation in highly competitive games against other towns' travel teams.

    Players who do not make the travel team will automatically be eligible for the recreational league.  We also encourage those that do make the travel team to play on their respective transitional or recreational teams. 

    • Tryouts will be held in Chester the week of September 23rd

    • Registration closes September 20th

    • Practices will begin in November

    • 14 game season December thru February plus playoffs

    In addition, we have plenty of current and former coaches that will provide guidance to create a successful curriculum for the newer coaches for the season.

    Additionally, Chester-Mendham girls travel and recreational basketball registration is now open. Please find registration information on the Mendham basketball website: mendhambasketball.com


    IMPORTANT DEADLINE: TRAVEL TEAM REGISTRATION

    Please note that the deadline for all TRAVEL TEAM registrations is currently set as September 20th, 2024.

    No travel registrations will be accepted after this date.

    Travel tryouts are planned to take place the week of September 23rd.  Stay tuned for further information.
